Speaking:
The model of flux cored wire is represented by EF, where E represents the electrode and F represents the flux.
Answer:
The younger generation of practitioners may have fewer opportunities to access the above logos.
Speaking:
This is a university textbook written by a group of professors and a classic reference book. What's the problem.
Answer:
Professor, don't get excited for now. Please believe that I am not here to express any issues with the viewpoint in the book, nor to argue right or wrong with you. I am only providing some information for you and other attendees to refer to based on this.
The above description itself is not at fault. If this topic is used to describe the development history or construct a relatively complete theoretical system, it is more appropriate. If used to describe the application of technology for current learning and application, it may make it even more confusing for those who have recently come into contact with this industry.
Summary:
Standard section. Clear debate and contemplation.
Text:
The model of flux cored arc welding wire used in the courseware described in this paper is inferred from the teaching material of an earlier university (see Figure 1 in this paper), and the model shown here is mainly composed of two parts. Among them, the EF in the first part represents the flux cored welding wire, and the subsequent numbers represent the welding position and main components. The numbers after the short horizontal line in the second part represent the mechanical properties of the weld, the first two digits represent the minimum tensile strength, and the last two digits represent the Charpy impact absorption energy and test temperature.

The above description of the model of flux cored welding wire was not problematic before 2001, and this viewpoint may be based on the national standard GB 10045-88 "Carbon Steel Flux Cored Welding Wire" implemented in the 1990s for carbon steel flux cored welding wire (see Figure 2 in this article).
This version of the standard adopts the equivalent ANSI/AWS A5.20-1995 encoding method in terms of model, and has been changed to EXXXT-XML. The model shown mainly consists of two parts. Among them, the letter E in the first part represents the welding wire, and the letter T represents the flux cored welding wire. The two adjacent symbols after the letter E indicate the mechanical properties of the deposited metal. The third symbol after the letter E represents the recommended welding position. The symbols after the short horizontal line in the second part indicate the type of welding wire, protective gas, and impact performance in order (see Figure 4 and Figure 5 in this article).

The subsequent version of the GB/T 10045 standard, 2018 version, replaces the 2001 version, and states in the preface that the standard uses the redrafting method to modify and adopt the ISO 17632:2015 Classification of Non alloy Steel and Fine Grain Steel Flux cored Wires for Gas Shielded and Self shielded arc welding of Welding Materials, and describes the main technical differences and reasons in the two standards (see Figure 6 in this paper)

Conclusion:
The citation of standards or literature in some basic textbooks or reference books is based on objective conditions of the era at that time, so it is inevitable that there will be lag in certain fields after several years, which is difficult to avoid.
The significance of education includes not only the transmission of knowledge, but also the methods of learning. Books can help accumulate basic knowledge, but it is also difficult to obtain all the necessary knowledge through just a few books. The overall description aims to illustrate that after the textbook completes its mission, readers still need to continuously learn and update what they have learned before in order to adapt to the environment, which is the purpose of this article. Rather than blindly evaluating a certain book, nor raising objections to the courseware, it is simply expressing a viewpoint on continuous learning.
By tracing the source and expanding the reading of the topics in this article, the courseware related to the model of flux cored welding wire in the textbook can be used to help establish a knowledge system and acquire learning methods, but is not entirely applicable to direct application in production practice.
Terminology is widely used due to its simplicity in writing and communication, and to a certain extent, it serves as a means of conveying information. This requires the interpreter to transform the expected result into a term, which is then conveyed to the interpreter through drawings or text channels. The interpreter then interprets the term and restores it to the expected result. In the process of information transmission, if there are different knowledge systems, missing reference information, lack of effective communication, and other reasons, it may lead to incorrect information transmission and cause deviation.
Hammer and note:
The purpose of this article is to attempt to describe the interpretation of terminology in simulated review work, in order to express some viewpoints, including the importance of employees attaching importance to the correct and effective transmission of information and the necessity of mutual understanding without any other directionality. This article does not provide any relevant description.
The purpose of this article is to attempt to describe the interpretation of terminology in simulation review work, in order to express some viewpoints, including that it is beneficial for the entire production process to have some common understanding or preferably a unified knowledge system in each production process.
The purpose of this article is to attempt to describe the work content of querying standards/textbooks/reference books in the workplace through simulation review, in order to illustrate the importance of having a certain level of familiarity with industry standards/textbooks/reference books. Multiple readings and related readings are beneficial for understanding standard terms. The relevant reference books are deep and complex, and opening a book is beneficial, and by analogy. Interpreting clauses solely through keywords or limited chapters may lead to a one-sided understanding. Standard reading comprehension, repetitive and dull, reading multiple times will always yield results.
After the implementation of standards/textbooks/reference books, it may be realized that there are some major or minor errors or delays. The creators and compilers of standards/textbooks/reference books may clarify or upgrade them through the issuance of errata or public notices. This article does not provide any relevant description.
Taking ANSI/AWS A5.20-1995 mentioned in this article as an example, it has also been upgraded, replaced, revoked, or changed multiple times. It also indicates that stopping reading at any time may lead to outdated or even outdated knowledge or information stored.
It is not easy to establish industry standards/textbooks/reference books, and behind it is a large amount of manpower and material investment. We appreciate the efforts made by industry standards/textbooks/reference book practitioners towards industry progress.

Doing something else and investing thousands of hours may make you an expert in the relevant field. And in this industry, putting in thousands of days of hard work may not necessarily see the threshold. Even if you accumulate a little knowledge at a certain moment and don't read for three days, your level is like an apprentice. Mutual encouragement.
